The kitchen and bathroom shelf items seem be blending into one another these days. Recently we have realised that our bathroom and kitchen shelf is stocked similarly... Running from kitchen to bathroom to grab the coconut oil we were using as shaving creme this morning and now its our cooking oil! Ground down coffee and green tea have jumped from our mugs an onto our legs for smoothing cellulite- scrubs. All these alternatives are proving to be more beneficial then the chemical laden formulas a lot of us buy in the chemist or beauty hall.
Natural remedies for minimising fine lines, removing dead skin cells and calm dry irritated skin is something you add to your
morning cereal or coffee daily; MILK. The lactic acid, proteins, fat, amino acids and vitamin A & D found in milk are all extremely beneficial to your skin's appearance. Maybe next time you hop in the bath, add a bit of milk in there too!
If your looking for radiance, look no further then your morning bowl of porridge! Oats are full of polysaccharides and leave a protective barrier for moisture loss on your skin after application. The saponins in oats are also natural cleansers that remove dirt and oil from your pores. So give these a try next time your want to exfoliate.
While cooking your vegan friendly coconut and ginger bok-choy lather your lips with your morning coffee beans, slap some oats on you're face, maybe a little bit of coconut oil on for extra hydration and make sure your dog is far away from the kitchen!
Take a page from your 4 year old self and play with your food, the skin benefits are surprising.
