At LaGaia UNEDITED™, we see the body as an intelligent system, constantly working to renew, restore, and protect. Our role in skincare is to support that innate wisdom with rituals that enhance wellbeing on every level. One such practice is body gua sha, a technique that harnesses the ancient art of stone massage for lymphatic drainage, circulation, and detoxification.
For the perfect glide, we recommend our Clean & Conscious award-winning LaGaia UNEDITED™ Beauty Balm. This multi-tasking balm melts luxuriously into the skin, providing the ideal slip for the Bian Stone without tugging, while delivering deep nourishment and barrier support. It transforms your gua sha ritual into a sensorial, skin-loving experience.
Why Practice Body Gua Sha with the Bian Stone?
- Reduce Fluid Retention: Encourage healthy lymphatic flow and ease heaviness in the limbs.
- Boost Circulation: Stimulate microcirculation for vibrant, glowing skin.
- Smoothes Cellulite: firm use releases fascia causing dimpled skin texture.
- Support Detoxification: Assist the body’s natural elimination pathways.
- Ease Tension: Relieve muscle tightness in shoulders, arms, and legs.
- Whole-Body Ritual: A grounding practice to reconnect with your body.
- Nourish the Skin: Our Beauty Balm adds antioxidant-rich hydration while you sculpt and smooth.

The 5-Step LaGaia UNEDITED™ Body Gua Sha Sequence
A simple, 10–15 minute ritual that guides the body into balance:
- Open the Nodes – Activate lymphatic “terminus” points with moderate pressure pumps in the underarms and groin creases.
- Legs – Lightly sweep upward from the ankles toward the knees. Pause at the popliteal nodes behind the knees apply moderate pressure pumps, then continue sweeping strokes upward along the thighs into the inguinal lymph nodes at the groin.
- Arms – Glide from wrist to elbow to underarm. After a few sweeps, drain directly into the axillary nodes in the underarm.
- Torso & Abdomen – Use clockwise circles around the navel, then sweep from the waistline upward into the underarms, and from the lower abdomen upward into the groin.
- Back & Neck – Sweep from the shoulder blades outward into the underarm. Glide from the back of the neck down into the collarbone nodes and terminus. (*Refer to facial ritual for node activation technique)
Tip: Always apply a rich glide medium like our LaGaia UNEDITED™ Beauty Balm to avoid friction and allow the Bian Stone to move seamlessly across the skin.
Elevating Your Self-Care
The body gua sha ritual is more than a treatment; it’s an act of self-respect. In a world that often rushes us, this practice offers a pause — a chance to reconnect with your body, move stagnation, and create the conditions for vitality.
At LaGaia UNEDITED™, our Body Gua Sha Lymphatic Sequence, paired with the award-winning Beauty Balm, reflects our philosophy of conscious, intelligent skincare — one that honours both science and ritual. With regular practice, your body feels lighter, your skin more radiant, and your connection to self deeper.
