Facial Gua Sha for Lymphatic Drainage: The LaGaia UNEDITED™ 6-Step Ritual - Part 3

At LaGaia UNEDITED™, we believe skincare should be more than surface-deep. A true ritual nurtures both skin and spirit. One of my favourite ways to achieve this is through the practice of facial gua sha — an ancient technique now celebrated for its ability to drain lymphatic fluid, reduce puffiness, sculpt the jawline, and reveal glowing skin.

Using our carefully chosen Bian Stone gua sha tool, this ritual is designed to be both effective and restorative. It works with the body’s natural lymphatic pathways, enhancing microcirculation and encouraging fluid to move — so your skin looks decongested, fresh, and vibrant.

Unlike strong massage, gua sha for lymphatic drainage requires only the lightest touch. Because the lymphatic system sits just under the skin, feather-light pressure with the stone is not only enough — it’s the most effective way to achieve results.

Why Choose the LaGaia UNEDITED™ Gua Sha Sequence?

  • Reduce Puffiness: Support lymphatic drainage for a refreshed, awakened complexion.
  • Sculpt & Define: Enhance cheekbones and jawline naturally.
  • Glow From Within: Stimulate circulation to brighten dull, tired skin.
  • Stress Relief: Release muscular tension held in the face and jaw.
  • Self-Care Ritual: A mindful practice that reconnects you with your skin.

The 6-Step LaGaia UNEDITED™ Facial Gua Sha Sequence. This simplified version of our full training protocol gives you a beautiful and effective way to begin:

  1. Open the Terminus – Moderate pressure, using knuckles pump about 1-2 inchs below collarbone. Open Clavicular nodes – position finger tips partially splayed,  directly below & above the collarbone, press and pump (the supraclavicular fossa) 10–15 times to activate drainage points.
  2. Neck Pathways – Gently glide the stone from jawline down the side of the neck to the collarbone. Repeat 5–10 times either side of neck.
  3. Jawline Sweep – Start at the chin, sweep along the jaw toward the ear. After 5-10 strokes, direct the flow down the neck pathway to encourage draining pathway flow.
  4. Cheek & Mid-Face – From the nose, sweep outward across the cheekbones toward the ear. Then drain down pathways to collarbone.
  5. Eyes & Forehead – Use ultra-light strokes from the inner eye corner (lower and upper eyelids) to the temple, and from the forehead centre, outward. Always finish with a gentle downward sweep along the side of the neck.

Tip: Keep your stone at a 15–45° angle and use feather-light pressure. The lymphatic system responds to gentleness, not force.

Bringing Ritual to Your Routine

Your facial gua sha ritual doesn’t need to take long — 5 to 8 minutes is enough to notice change. Practiced consistently, it can transform not only your skin’s appearance but also the way you feel in your body.
