Benefits

  1. Due to Copper's innate presence and function within skin, copper's has a natural ability to stimulate cellular turn over to thicken skin and reduce appearance of fine lines over time. During this process of cellular activation and accelerated cell turn-over, superficial pigmentation concerns become less noticeable, useful for general pigmentation concerns.
  2. Having a Copper deficiency greatly increases lipid perioxidation of lipoproteins, which means your protective barrier and healing process can be compromised. These proteins form the foundation layer of the dermis, when the foundation layer is strong and the ‘links’ aka (desmosome bridges) between tissue and cells are strong, the epidermal layer is smooth, plump and elastic.
  3. Utilising copper's in a skincare routine for more moderate damage is prescribed due to its role in increasing wound healing as copper is needed to form new blood vessels during angiogenesis. With more blood flow to an injury site means more oxygen and nutrients to the site of trauma. By activating all these essential immune responses, skin is able to ensure damaged DNA are removed from injury site for an improved healing result.
  4. Clinical research has established that copper minerals are antioxidants and nutrients that counteract the oxidising effect of environmental particles called free radicals. Oxidation causes cellular damage, leading to premature ageing. Copper neutralises these radicals. Great for all skin.
